Rep. Bart Stupak (D_MI) is to be commended for standing up for his pro-life, anti-murder stance against federal funding for abortion, which Leftists want to have in the so-called reform of health care.
Mr. Stupak is getting pressure for Democrats and Republicans across the nation, not only from his Michigan Congressional district.
“All the phones are unplugged at our house — tired of the obscene calls and threats. She won’t watch TV,” Stupak said during an hour-long interview with The Hill in his Rayburn office. “People saying they’re going to spit on you and all this. That’s just not fun.”
Poor Mr. Stupak, standing up for something you believe in is difficult.
However, Rep. Stupak, although your stance on Federal funding for abortion is noble, your belief that the United States Constitution has provided that health care is a right, not a privilege is mis-guided and false.
“It’s caused a lot of internal conflict. ‘Am I doing the right thing,’ you know?” he said. “I believe everyone should have health care. In all my correspondence — I’ve been saying for years — it’s a right, not a privilege.”
Really! Please, somebody, anybody, point to where in the US Constitution heath care is a right to every citizen, any citizen please show me. You can’t, it doesn’t exist.
If Mr. Stupak is so wonderful and so knowledgeable about the Constitution he might also show me, beyond Roe v. Wade, where in the Constitution abortion is a right and not cold-blooded murder.
If a picture tells one-thousand words than the one accompanying this post say’s it all.
Stupak or stupid. Indeed!
